Know Before You Go

Hello and thank you for purchasing Toonerville tickets and supporting a great charitable organization.  We are dedicated to making this year’s Toonerville Music Festival an event that will be enjoyed by all.  In order to achieve this, we need your help!  Below are some details on what to expect as well as some very important asks of you, the patron.  Please read through this before heading to the Festival on Saturday.

If you have any further questions, please email us at info@toonerville.org

THANK YOU AND ENJOY THE 2023 TOONERVILLE MUSIC FESTIVAL!!!

Please Be Patient

Ensuring that Toonerville is a safe and fun environment for all has been a great challenge and we need you to understand that it requires patience. There will be lines and we ask you to be prepared for them in order to ensure that they are as short as possible.

Please prepare for entry

We ask that you have your ticket out when you arrive at the gate. If you have a smartphone, putting your tickets in your Device Wallet is a great option to make your entry experience smooth.

Please feel comfortable

There will be a limited number of shared community picnic tables at the Festival. These are for people to use while eating. Please do not “camp out” at these tables. Use only while eating then allow someone else to use. You are welcome to bring your own chair with the understanding that it is your sole responsibility to keep it with you or attended to at all times. There will be delineated areas for chairs. We want everyone to enjoy the environment we have provided for a great day of fun and friends. Remember that with your wristband, you may leave the festival and return at any time.

Please be kind

We are all in this together. We ask that every patron treats ever other patron with kindness and respect. Leave lanes clear when setting up a chair, make sure you are not blocking the people behind you.

Please be responsible

This is a family & community affair. We ask that if you are drinking alcohol at Toonerville, please consume it responsibly and never drive a vehicle if you have been drinking. If you have trash, PLEASE use one of the many trash receptacles around the Festival. PLEASE keep on eye on your children.

Please be supportive

Some of the performers at Toonerville are local and are not being paid for this event so that money raised can go to those in-need. Please show them that you appreciate that. The national acts have also made some concessions to be part of this event and we want them to feel the love that Pelham has for the arts. Please make some noise for the bands!!

Please have fun

Most importantly, please have fun! A lot of people have worked very, very hard to make this festival happen in order to do something cool for the community and hopefully raise some money for those in-need. There is no pay or reward to us other than the smiles on your face and the hope that this event can happen again next year and be even better.

Please share

If you have a great time at Toonerville, please let your friends know about what they missed. And please share on socials and hash-tag #TOONERVILLE

Doors open at 12noon. When you arrive, there will be a 4-step process for admission; Bag-Check, Ticket Scanning, Age Check for 21+ and Festival Wrist-banding. Once you are admitted into the Festival, your wristband will allow you to come and go as you please.

PLEASE NOTE: if you are not happy with the Toonerville food options, keep in mind that you may leave and return with your wristband if you would like to patronize any of Pelham’s fine food establishments. You may not take food or alcoholic beverages off of the festival grounds.

Additional Information

1. The main entrance is located at 195 Sparks Avenue. Please enter in an orderly manner and listen to and respect our volunteer crowd control team.  You'll receive a wristband upon entry that will allow you to come and go as you like throughout the day.

2. Bring the kids! Kids under 12 are free but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please do not allow your children to run around unsupervised. Danilee's and The Picture House are offering off-site child care for festival attendees. You can find more info and book here <link>.

3. There is NO PARKING on-site parking and no parking in the adjacent PICO parking lot off Sparks. Parking is available on streets and throughout Pelham. Please also consider taking public transportation. The Pelham Metro North Station (New Haven Line) is just a 2 minute walk away as is the  bus stop. We'll also have the Toonerville Trolley doing a hop-on/hop-off loop from 1p-6p <link>.

4. We all love our pets but they are not allowed inside the Festival grounds. It's just not the right environment for them and they would be more happy to be left at home.

5. You are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blacket as well as a water bottle (we'll have filling stations) but NO TENTS, NO COOLERS and NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES. No purses or bags larger than 14x11x5 or backpacks of any kind are allowed. All bags are subject to search.  We will have several shade/rain tents available as well as picnic tables to use while eating.  Please be courteous and share the limited space with other festival attendees.

6. You can bring lawn chairs but please be courteous of others and don’t leave chairs unattended. Note that the festival is in a paved parking lot (not grass) so plan accordingly.

7. There will be plenty of food and drink (ID required for those over 21 wishing to purchase alcohol) options on-site including Rockwells (Hamburgers), Capt Lawrence Food Truck (hot dogs, chicken fingers), Pizza Fenice (pizza), Main Lobster (Lobster Rolls), and Carvel (Ice Cream). There are also many great downtown Pelham dining options within walking distance.

8. Toonerville is an outdoor, rain or shine venue.   Music will continue as scheduled as long as there is no thunder or lightning in which case we'll pause the music and ask everyone to vacate the venue until any threat has passed.  Follow Toonerville IG/FB to stay up to date on any last minute announcements.

9. Dress accordingly based on the weather forecast.  Saturday looks to be cool with scattered rain.  Rain protection and warn layers are recommended to ensure you have a great time but please NO UMBRELLAS.  We will continue with festival as long as there is no thunder or lightning.  Should there be thunder or lightning, we'll make announcements on-site and via FB and IG so you know when it is clear to return to the festival grounds and the continuation of the music.

10. NO FIREARMS or WEAPONS of any kind are permitted.

11. NO SMOKING on festival grounds. Please respect those around you and step off the grounds if you need to smoke.

12. This is an entirely volunteer run and staffed festival put on by the Pelham Civic Association as a community event and to raise funds for special programs helping those in need throughout the community.   Please be respectful of our great staff who have all volunteered there time to ensure you have a great experience.
